After two announced and postponed tours, finally it's time for Talisman in Italy!!!

Jeff Scott Soto and his mates are ready to rock Europe! Bologna Rock City is proud to announce the 2 Italian dates. Europroject, the most famous Europe tribute band in Italy, will play in the opening acts. 2 great events of the made in Sweden pure rock!!!

Less than four weeks to go until the 3rd edition of the United Forces Of Rock Festival will take place. Here comes a reminder on the show details and info about the final running order:
date: Sept. 30th, 2007 / place: Ludwigsburg (near Stuttgart), Germany / venue: Rockfabrik

Tickets for 45,00 Euro (incl. Vat plus fees) are now also available through Kartenhaus (German customers only) and of course still through AOR Heaven, United Forces Of Rock Festival, Rock it Shop, Frontiers Records, at the Rockfabrik venue and CTS.

Swedish hard rock band The Poodles— consisting of vocalist Jakob Samuel (The Ring, ex-Talisman, Jekyll & Hyde), guitarist Pontus Norgren (The Ring, ex-Talisman), bassist Pontus Egberg (ex-Lion's Share) and drummer Christian Lundqvist — will support Swiss hard rockers Gotthard on the "Domino Effect Tour 2007". The following German dates have been confirmed:

The Poodles released its new single, "Seven Seas" in Sweden on April 25. The title cut is said to be a "true pirate story" which features an appearance by the Swedish actor Peter Stormare ("Prison Break", "Fargo" and "Jurassic Park").

"Seven Seas" is the first single from the group's new album, "The Sweet Trade", which was once again produced by Matti Alfonzetti and Johan Lyander. The song was written by Jakob Samuel, Jonas Reingold and Peter Stormare.

Commented Samuel: "At the beginning the song was nice and neat but felt harmless. Jonas and I wanted it meaner with more substance, it needed Peter's power and deep black song."

Stormare laid down his parts at the StormVox Studio in West Hollywood, California — the same studio where he normally records with his band BFF (Blond from Fargo), along with contributions from former members of Slash's Snakepit and Guns N' Roses, among other groups.

"When we put everything together and mastered in Stockholm, the story suddenly became true", Jakob said.

July 7, 2006, Jeff Scott Soto began a new chapter in his life as lead singer for mega legends Journey. June 11, 2007, not even a year later, that chapter ended. Says Jeff "I was looking forward to a long, prosperous future with these guys but it seems they wanted something different than I brought to the table. No love lost though, they know what's best for the preservation of their legacy.

Jeff has just completed a European farewell tour with longtime bandmates Talisman & is set to continue where he left off on the new solo album he was creating before the Journey call. "A lot of folks are sad Talisman is over but perhaps we may extend the idea of saying goodbye a bit although I'm really looking forward to unleashing the new JSS sound to the world sooner than later".

Jeff has been writing with Swedish artist/producer/writer Paulo Mendonça for the past year as well as up & coming singer/writer Sam Grow on the new material. "Paulo writes the way I dream of my music sounding, everything he touches gold to me. Sam is new on the scene, a kid I hear loads of potential in his own material which I also hear collaborating on my own. It's a new, contemporary, soulful, rock, groove thing with a lot of melody!".

The new album should be completed before the end of the year but no release date or label has been announced yet. Sounds can be heard on JSS Myspace page as well as the many other aspects of Jeff's career can be found at his own personal website.
