Humanimal, which features in its ranks Talisman members Jeff Scott Soto (vocals), Marcel Jacob (bass), and Pontus Norgren (guitars), will release its debut CD through Z Records on January 28th, 2002.

Humanimal have been forced to cancel their appearance at Z Rock Germany on September 8th in Mannheim after bassist Marcel Jacob was injured recently in a bike accident.

Marcel has been told by doctors that he will be unable to play for some time due to his shoulder injury that he incurred. According to a statement posted on the Z Records web site, the band are bitterly disappointed that they are unable to attend and promise to make an appearance as soon as possible to make up for the unforeseen cancellation. Upon such short notice, all three partners involved in staging the show opted to find a replacement as quickly as possible.

Talisman will play a one-off Swedish gig together with Seven Wishes in Karlskoga on Friday, June 15th.

05/12/2001 - Talisman farewell tour dates

Talisman have lined up several shows as part of what bassist/mainman Marcel Jacob has jokingly referred to as the group's "first farewell tour".
The dates are as follows:

According to Jacob, "the main reason we're doing it is of course, as always, because we can...but also the fact that we're doing the Humanimal album [also featuring vocalist Jeff Scott Soto, guitarist Pontus Norgren, and drummer Tomas Broman], & have some spare time to have fun." As for the Humanimal CD, Marcel stated that "tthe album looks to be promising. I'm happy with the music — hard-edged rock, [and] not too similar to Talisman, but due to who's performing [on it]… there will be sort of a likeness there… for better, for worse! The drumming is great, thanx to Tomas Broman, & it's going to be fun laying down guitars on top of his tracks."

Talisman featuring Jeff Scott Soto, Marcel Jacob, Pontus Norgren and Jamie Borger, will make their UK live debut on Sunday, June 17th.

This show will reportedly be the band's only UK appearance.
