06/04/2005: United - Where Is The Fire DVD

Finally!

After delays, due to small and big problems, the DVD to support the victims of the tragic Tsunami-disaster, United - Where Is The Fire , is finally available!

The DVD has been pre-ordered in more than 10,000 copies in Sweden only, which means it will be rewarded with a Gold DVD, hopefully it will pass the 20,000 mark and get platinum. In this case the amount of money raised would be amazing

The DVD contains stuff for the AOR and hard rock fans, a documentary about the recording of the song with in studio shots of people like Kee Marcello, Hammerfall, John Leven, Mikkey Dee, Matti Alfonzetti, Göran Edman, Jim Jidhed, Stefan Andersson, Thomas Vikström, Leif Sundin, Mats Leven, Mattias "IA" Eklundh, Lambretta, Pain, Geir Rönning, Tommy Nilsson, Jan Johansen etc and of course from the huge all star choir recordings plus interviews with Europe (the whole band), The Smiths, Marky Ramone (The Ramones), Infinite Mass, Marcel Jacob, and many other celebrties who give there support to this project.

01/25/2005: Talisman to release live double DVD

The double DVD will be released worldwide in NTSC Region Free format on Frontiers Records while the release in Japan will be handled via Demolition Records.

“World’s Best Kept Secret” will include 2 concerts from the Cats & Dogs Tour

1/13/2005 - The Ring Begin Work On New Material

The Ring , the Swedish band featuring former Talisman / Humanimal / Great King Rat guitarist Pontus Norgren, ex- Talisman / Jekyll & Hyde frontman Jakob Samuel and Royal Hunt / ex-Jekyll & Hyde guitarist Marcus Jidell (on bass), have posted the following message on their official web site:

"There is already a bunch of songs written for the new album and we are now working with the little details to make the songs as good as possible. Jakob has been writing some great lyrics and we are really enjoying our time in the studio. At this moment it's just Marcus and Jakob in the studio while Pontus is in Japan with Europe [working as part of the road crew], but he will be back soon with us to continue with his parts of the recordings. In the end of January and February we are doing some gigs soon to be announced in Sweden."

The Ring's debut album, "Tales From Midgard", was released last year through Italy's Scarlet Records.

The first part of a trilogy based on the fantastic story of Tolkien's first part of "Lord of the Rings", "Tales From Midgard" features "magnificent" cover artwork by JP Fournier (Edguy, Avantasia, Immortal, Draginforce).
