| This is a double CD set released by Frontiers Records, which serves as an aural companion to the DVD that TALISMAN recently released. The mindchild of Singer extraordinaire, JSS and YJM's Bass player, Marcel Jacob, TALISMAN, came out of nowhere in the early 90s, only to become one of the best melodic rock bands on the planet, with every subsequent release. |
The double CD set captures the band's masterful performances both at Club Mondo in Stockholm, during august 2003 as well as in June of the same year at the Swedish Rock Festival, in Motala. |
The band in both occasions rises ehm, to occasion and tears thru a set, of their best songs, obviously slightly more pressed for time, during the festival appearance. All the greats like "Mysterious", "Break your Chains", "I 'll be waiting" and many more are here, performed immaculately, as well as a fantastic cover of SEAL's Crazy. |
Soto is completely "crazy" too, making the crowd sing absurdities like a chorus of people chanting Arnold Swartzeneger's name and such.priceless and hilarious stuff, really. Apart from the duplication of songs, and the slightly boring cover, everything else is great, so I'd urge you to pick both this and the DVD, if you can find them. |
