Talisman are back with a real masterpiece. The swedish band was created in the 90's by Jeff Scott Soto and Marcel Jacob (bassguitar), after a while Fredrik Åkesson and Jamie Borger (such a talented drummer) joined the band. |
Main feature of Talisman is surely Jeff's voice that is unique and unmistakable , he is one of the few who has worked with many talented musicians and bands such as Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Axel Rudi Pell, Lita Ford, Paul Gilbert, Slaughter, Steelheart, Stryper, Michael Schenker, Zakk Wylde, Soul SirkUS. Jeff has been able, along with his band mates, to give a great rock appearence to two quality pop songs like Crazy by Seal (in Life) and Frozen by Madonna (inclulded in Truth). |
This band has made albums such as Talisman, Truth, Humanimal recorded live at Sweden Rock Festival in 2001 and Cats and Dogs where we find Fredrik Åkesson back again on the guitar. Nowadays Talisman is back with a brand new album simply called 7, energetic hard rock sound. |
All the eleven songs of the album have the features to become an hit. It's really hard to decide which one is the best and that's because these guys are really talented, and because these tracks are convincing and powerful, great riffs and good melodies. Nowhere fast is surely a great song, good hard rock with funky hints. Forever more and Back 2 the feeling are the ballads of the album and they surely can move you, great vibrations thanks to the magic created by the keyboards. |
Every single track is easy and lovable thanks to a groove that I would define totally unique. This album is one of a kind thanks to the talent of these guys and above all thanks to Jeff Scott Soto's voice that is able to charm listeners and musicians. |
