I don't think that anyone has missed that Talisman singer Jeff Scott Soto has replaced Steve Augeri in Journey, but just before that Marcel Jacob and Soto managed to record a brand new Talisman album simply called 7.

It's been 3 years since the last album "Cats And Dogs" were released that I think was a good album with a very strong 2nd half.

These funky rockers has continued where "Cats And Dogs" ended with catchy hooks and strong melodies, it even feels that this new album has a more poppier approach on a few tracks.

I must say that the melodies and harmonies are brilliant on 7, I was listening to this album when my girlfriend came in and heard "Nowhere Fast" and she told me that this sounds like Backstreet Boys.

I don't know if I can agree with her but the chorus is catchy as hell and has awesome harmonies - maybe it's that part that reminds of B.B.

I have been listening to this album a lot lately and I'm digging the record totally that contains stunning melodic rockers and wonderful ballads.

I think this album is their strongest since the classic debut album, other highlights besides Nowhere Fast are the two strong ballads "Forevermore" and "Back 2 The Feeling" where Jeff sings with great feeling and emotion.

"On My Way" is a great up-tempo rocker with lovely melodies, great drumsound on this one. The whole album is very even and I don't can't find any real fillers.

The production of the new album is top-notch and I must say that Jamie Borger, Fredrik Åkesson, Marcel Jacob and Jeff Scott Soto has brought back Talisman to the big league again.

This new album rocks, great work guys.
