The most important fact is of course that the fans got sound and vision and that is what makes the difference. Concerning more joy and feeling part of the happening, it really means a lot. DVD 1 consists of the same gigs as the double CD, but here we have got plenty bonus material which is really worth looking at. |
Concert videos, promo videos, rare stuff like recordings at the Lokerse Feesten (2003), behind the scenes material, a discography, and we can go on for a while… one can spend a few hours of watching all this. One realizes it has been made by a sympathetic band that thinks about their fans and how to please them. |
DVD1 contains the same shows as for the live CD, so now you’ll get to see the shows with their splattering performances. What showmanship this band brings to stage. The qualities of the visual footages from Stockholm are extreme good, and now and then, you’ll get a split screen, which is also very nicely done. The Sweden Rock concert is recorded in black and white but is also good quality. |
The subtitles for the Stockholm show are very nice, if you want to sing along, or if you don’t know the lyrics. The extras on disc one, are outtakes from the Stockholm gig, and you can choose between four camera positions or you see all four of them in the right side of you television screen. |
DVD2 contains tons of video clips and concert outtakes from various periods. It’s a kind of documentary through the 15 years that this band is working in the music industry. You’ll get to see videos from songs like “I’ll Be Waiting”, “Mysterious” and “Skin On Skin”. The concert outtakes are from concerts in Japan 1993, Sweden Rock 2001 and Belgium 2003. The Japan and Sweden outtakes aren’t of the same quality as on disc one, but still good enough to look at, it looks like they are recorded with a kind of home video camera from the audience. |
The Belgium concert, recorded at the “Lokerse Feesten”, an annual festival is again of an excellent quality. Between all the songs, there are parts filmed whilst the band is backstage, practicing, or discussing things. In the menu, you can choose if you want to see the complete film, the videos, the live outtakes, or the in between filmed parts. |
The bonus for this disc is a discography, were you can click on every cover and you’ll get to see the track listing and some more info while you can listen to a song of that album. “Shred” again is recorded with a home video cam from the audience in a small club, were both guitarist are dueling each other. Don’t worry, “The Naked Bassplayer” isn’t a funny title of a porn movie, it’s a short film, were Marcel Jacob shows of what he is capable on his bass guitar. |
All in one a wonderful double DVD, were you’ll get a very good impression of Talisman. A must for the fans of Talisman, the Jeff Scott Soto fans and for the melodic hard rock fans. |
