Swedish sleaze rockers Bai Bang are still alive and kickin´. Diddi Kastenholt (vocals), Pelle Eliaz (guitar), Tony Rohtla (guitar), Joacim Sandin (bass) and Jonas Langebro (drums) has just released a The Best Of.
These rockers has been around since the late 80s but only released 4 studio albums. On this collection they have taken songs from all their 4 albums without any unreleased tracks or surprises. The albums we´re talking about are the debut album Behind Enemy Lines (1988), Cop Ton Con (1991), Ridin´ High (1996) and Attitude (2003).

The debut album was a pop album all the way and in my opinion the weakest album and soundwise has nothing to do with the other albums.
"Cop To Con" is a typical Scandinavian AOR/Rock album a´la Talisman and Treat. On that album they got some help from Mats Lindfors, Matt Alfonzetti and Marcel Jacob (Talisman) in the songwriting.
On "Ridin´High" they have changed the sound to a more tougher, harder and sleazy style. Here they got help from Ole Evenrude and Hal Johnston (Bad Habit).
On the "Attitude" album they re-recorded almost the whole rare and hard to find Ole Evenrude album "One Size Fits All".
This is their best album and if you´re into Swedish Erotica, Aces High (debut album) and of couse Evenrude then you can´t miss Attitude.
This is a very nice collection of songs and you get 20 songs and only the ones from the debut album feels misplaced and are different from the rest of the tracks. There are only 4 tracks taken from the debut album and it´s at least 2 too many.
The other songs are taken from Cop To Con (3 tracks), Ridin´High (7) and Attitude (6). It´s a pity that there are no unreleased tracks to spice up this collection for us that has their 4 albums but you can´t get everything.
Bai Bang´s music is perfect as pre-party music with great partystarters as Rock´n´Roll City, X-Ray Specs, Welcome To The Real World, I Want It and many more.
If you don´t own any albums with these sleazy rockers then this Best Of is a great starter to get to know Bai Bang. At the moment they have been writing new songs for their upcoming new 5th album that is set to be released early next year.
