Richard Anderssons Space Odyssey was formed by Richard Andersson and guitar player Magnus Nilsson. After jamming the two decided to do something together and the guiding principles were set. Richard and Magnus have known each other for years but never done something together in studio. Richard describes Magnus as: "One among the best guitar players I have ever played with. Extremely good sense of music in general, which you can hear in his huge vibrato and great feeling for the guitar. I am very happy to introduce him to you and the metal scene". |

Very soon Marcel Jacob (bass), known for his work in Yngwie Malmsteens Rising Force and Patrik Johansson (vocals) were contacted and introduced to the material. Richards friend Jonas Reingold introduced Zoltan Csörsz to him. Zoltan got this fusion/metal touch in his drumming which is very suitable for this kind of music, as there are different parts in the songs including these elements |

Richard Anderssons Space Odyssey finalized the recording in Reingold Studios Spring 2003. The recording came out as 9 songs of classical metal, very melodic yet with hard guitar riffing and outstanding guitar solos. The result is what no other bands have been capable of doing in the past 10 years. Utmost strong songs in veins of Rainbow, late Black Sabbath, Malmsteen and Majestic, combined with the new and fresh taste of great musicianship. The vocal performance from Patrik Johansson is outstanding, like mixture between Ronnie James Dio & David Coverdale. |
