The group prepared more for this album than any previous recording. Supposedly going to LA to record after the European tour that ended early October, there was some material already. Those plans were scrapped, the recording got delayed, hence another two months of writing and rehearsing.

The recordings took place in Sound Trade Studios with the help of Ronny Lahti. The final tally was twentytwo tracks recorded and mixed in twentytwo days. This lead to JSS & MJ discussing a double CD, but since almost all the material would fit on one CD, they finally opted for a single CD with all the best tracks.

In a weak moment the Japanese label was given the permission to put together their own selection of the track they deemed suitable for the Japanese audience. The band cringed upon finding out what that set of songs turned out to be, and eventually the Japanese label had to release the Swedish version as well, because of the amount of imports. Later there was a second European release ( Polydor) of the outtakes as well. All this led to some criticism, so we are happy to now release the whole session as one package.

Despite some healthy album sales, there was never any touring done for this album. If it was due to the scene changing, no management, or that the labels the band was signed to were inefficient in the promotion department, who knows?
