"Inspiration" is the third part of the re-release trilogy of Yngwie Malmsteen. And here Master brings us 11 songs altogether that had inspired him during his beginnings as a guitarist, always interesting to hear, what guitar virtuosos actually state as influences and how they compare to the style that the respective string master actually has adopted for himself after all
"Inspiration" is a cover's album featuring tracks by, Deep Purple, Rainbow, Rush, Scorpions and Kansas.
First of all it is quite surprising to see the string of musicians that have accompanied Yngwie into the studio for this one, three singers, Joe Lynn Turner, Mark Boals and Jeff Scott Soto, Jens Johansson, Mats Olausson and David Rosenthal on keyboards, Marcel Jacob on bass and Anders Johansson on drums. So the surprise is to see that with some of the folks Yngwie managed to overcome old differences at least for the recordings.

MJ and JSS was working on the 1st Human Clay record meanwhile at the same time, Yngwie Malmsteen was working on his “Inspirations” album. He wanted that they to come over and do something on it for him, so they did a trade - JSS sang on 3 tracks and MS played on one and then Yngwie plays lead on Human Clay track called “Jealousy”.
